Edward Lee Whidden, 74, lifelong resident of Arcadia, passed away August 15, 2012. Edward was born March 03, 1938. Edward graduated from DeSoto High and went on to work as an Aide at G. Pearce Wood. He then started working for Sorrells Grove Care, where he was employed for 35 years. In his spare time, Edward enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and NASCAR. His favorite drivers were Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle, FORD drivers. Edward was also a baseball fanatic. He was of the Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor James Chancey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia, Florida.
