June Carolyn Powell, age 76, passed away May 6, 2013 in Port Charlotte, FL. June was born July 7, 1936 in St. Charles, Michigan. She moved to Arcadia in 1996 from Michigan. June was a retired office manager for a medical company. June was a lifelong member of the Eagles in Saginaw, MI. She enjoyed downhill skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, and anything outdoors. She was of the Methodist faith, having attended Trinity United Methodist Church while living in Arcadia, FL. Survivors are her beloved husband of 57 years, William Henry Powell, Arcadia, FL, nieces; Corine (Bill) Smith, Karen (Greg) Acton, Darcey Sargent, all of Michigan, nephew Tim Tiedt also of Michigan. June is preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Dorthea Tiedt and a brother, James D. Ward. Memorial services will take place at a later date.
