Obituary

Desoto- Jonathan Forman, JR, age 81, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 in Arcadia, FL. Jonathan was born April 28, 1931 in Columbus, OH, moving to Arcadia in 1979 from Hialeah, FL. One of the most meaningful events of his life was marrying his true love and soul mate, Muriel. He retired as a lineman for Florida Power and Light. Jonathon was a veteran of the U. S. Army, as well as the Marine Corps. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Arcadia Chapter, Jonathon enjoyed fishing, antique cars, his cows and his dogs, and spending quality time with his family. He was a member of St. Paul s Catholic Church. Survivors are his sons; Jonathan Forman IV, Homestead, FL, and James Forman, Arcadia, FL, a daughter, Laura Christ, Tallahassee, FL, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Jonathan is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Muriel Forman, son, Michael Forman, his parents, Jonathan and Doris Andrews Forman, SR, two sisters, Cynthia Forman and Alice Havran. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL Mass of Christian Burial will be a 11:00AM, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Paul s Catholic Church, Arcadia, FL. Burial will follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery with military honors rendered by the U. S. Marine Corps. Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arcadia Tidewell Hospice, 917 No. Arcadia Avenue, Arcadia, FL 34266.
