John Jack Walters, age 74, passed away Saturday March 24, 2012 in Arcadia. He was born September 22, 1937 in Cecil Co., MD. and moved to Arcadia 15 years ago from Hollywood, FL. John was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After serving our Country he became a police officer serving Baltimore City, MD and Cooper City, FL. John was of the Presbyterian faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Jackie Walters, two sons; Bill and Brian Walters and one daughter Rita Johnson. Four grandchildren; J.D. Brakefield, Sharlee Suggs, Sky Lynn Heckman and Tyler Manning; three great-grandchildren Leighanne, Brooke and Payton. He had a large extended network of family and friends and will be loved and missed by all. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 9:30AM until 11:30AM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia.
