Joe F. Colding, age 66, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 with his loving family by his side. He was born January 12, 1947 in Lithia, FL where he lived until moving to Arcadia 32 years ago. Joe was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Arcadia. Joe was a very loving and caring family man, and he valued spending time with all of them. Joe was a cattle rancher, running the day to day operations. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing when he could. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Julie Packard Colding of Arcadia, FL., one son Jeremy A. Colding, currently enlisted in the US Navy; one daughter Katie Colding currently attending the University of South Florida Arcadia, Fl.; two brothers Alva (Lou) Colding of Lithia, FL. and Robert (Vonna) Colding of W. VA; three sisters Sarah (Paul) Dixon of Bartow, FL, Diane (Tim) McCormick of Valrico, FL. and Pam Colding of Sebring, FL., numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents H.C. and Naomi O. Corbett Colding, brother Ernest Colding and sister Carol Peeples. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 1:30pm until 2:00pm at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 5104 NW Oak Hill Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00PM at the church with Rev. Paul Dixon officiating. Burial will then be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
