Joe Bohannan, age 59, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Arcadia, FL. Joe was born December 4, 1953 in Jasper, FL, moving to Arcadia, FL 35 years ago from Jasper. He was self employed as a road construction specialist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just about anything outdoors. He loved to cook mullet and entertain his family. He was a Tampa Bay Bucks fan. Joe was the happiest when he was on the job, so much so, that he named his boat On the Job . Joe was a member of the Moose Lodge here in Arcadia, FL. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are his be loved wife of 42 years, Betty Sue Bohannan, Arcadia, FL, one son; Joe Bohannan, JR, Sciotoville, Ohio, one daughter, Betty Jo Bohannan, Arcadia, FL, one sister; Alice Dedge, Arcadia, FL, four grand children; Dustin Hall, Elizabeth Bohannan, Chamber Bohannan, and Cassidy Hall. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Ben Bohannan and Martha Maude Brantley Bohannan, and a brother Ben Lewis Bohannan, and a grandson Larry Joseph Hall. Visitation will begin at 5:00PM with funeral services to be conducted at 6:00PM, Tuesday evening, September 3, 2013 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL with Rev.
