Desoto- Jerry "Pete" Gatties, 48, of Arcadia, Florida passed away July 9, 2013. Pete was born in Joliet, Illinois on September 19, 1964 and moved to Desoto County as a young boy. He graduated from Desoto High School and worked as an electronic technician. Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting and family outings. Pete is survived by his mother, Juanita Cornish, of Zolfo Springs, FL, father, Jerry (Sharon) Gatties, of Wilmington, Illinois, sister, Cynthia (Tim)Gray, of Woodridge, Illinois, step sister, Jori Taylor, of Wilmington, Illinois, step brother, Jay Spolarich, of Carbondale, Illinois, grandmother, Clara Forsythe, of Arcadia, Florida and nephew, Tyler Gray.
