Helen G. Baxley, age 66, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Arcadia. She was born November 23, 1945 in Cherokee, North Carolina and moved to Arcadia 32 years ago from Bethel, Ohio. Helen was of the Baptist faith. Helen was the manager of the Clock restaurant in Arcadia. When she had time off she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball, she loved to cook for her family and liked doing ceramics. She is survived by two children, a daughter Melinda S. (Ricky) Morales of Arcadia, FL. and son Carl G. (Amy) Kellum, Jr. of Waupun, Wisconsin, three brothers Gary Allen of Fairfield, OH., Bill Allen and Don Allen both of Atlanta, GA., one sister Connie (Gerald) Bailey of Arcadia, FL., five grand children Ricky Morales, Jr., Christopher Morales, Mathew Morales, Brittany Morales and Britnay Kellum, numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Ann Kellum and parents Fred E. Mott and Lorah Beaver Allen. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the chapel at 4:00PM with Rev. Roy Arms officiating.
