Harry William Eagerton, age 81, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. Harry was born May 23, 1932 in Owens Community, Arcadia, FL. He was a self employed auto mechanic. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War. Harry loved working on automobiles, watching NASCAR races, and the Tama Bay Buccaneers football team. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was devoted to his Lord and his church, the Arcadia Church of God, where he served as a Deacon and treasurer. Survivors are his beloved wife, Janell Butler Eagerton, Arcadia, FL, a son William Richard Rick (Lisa) Eagerton, Wauchula, FL, two daughters; Linda (Steve) McAllister, and Cheryl (Duke) Robinson, both of Arcadia, FL., sister; Maryann Bevans, Arcadia, FL, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Metta Senn Eagerton, and brothers; Charles and Albert Eagerton. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00PM until 3:00PM. at the Arcadia Church of God, 1423 NE Oak Street, Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be at 3:00PM at the church with Rev. Steve Griffin and Rev. Jimmie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, FL. The DeSoto Honor Guard will render military honors at the cemetery.
