Thomas H. Bastin, age 79, passed away February 2, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. Thomas was a born Sept. 9, 1932 in Aroma Park, IL. He moved to Arcadia 20 years ago from Grovertown, IN. Thomas retired as a fork lift operator for Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of the United Methodist Church, Grovertown, IN. Survivors are his beloved wife, Norma Bastin, Arcadia, three sons, Mike Bastin, Arcadia, Ernest Ernie Bastin, Grovertown, IN, Thomas Tom (Debbie) Bastin, Jr, Stevenson, VA, one daughter, Cheryl (Ken) Nigg, Arcadia, one sister, Dorothy Ahrens, Kankakee, IL, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Essie Bowman Bastin and a daughter Kristy Bastin. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Clancy-Germon Funeral Home, 1480 Court St., Kankakee, IL (815-932-1214) Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Clancy-Germon Funeral Home, Kankakee, IL.
