Fredrick J. Falkinburg, age 72, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. He was born July 17, 1939 in Tiona, PA. Originally from Warren, PA, Fred retired to Florida in 1989 and moved to Arcadia 8 years ago from Cayo Costa, FL. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Paul s Catholic Church of Arcadia. Fred loved life, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and travel. He and his family would take cruises as often as possible. Fred was an avid reader and liked dining out with family and friends. Fred served our Country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the NRA. He is survived by his loving spouse of 51 years Sally A. Falkinburg of Arcadia; one son SFC Patrick J. (Lori Ann) Falkinburg of Clarksville, TN; two daughters Brigid H. Fahey of Jupiter, FL and Kathleen L. (Keith) Locklin of Cape Coral, FL.; three brothers Howard Falkinburg of Columbus, OH, Earl Falkinburg of Hazel Hurst, PA and Walter Pete Falkinburg of Kane, PA; two sisters Agatha Rizzardi of Owensboro, KY and Martha Falkinburg of Lexington, SC; three grandchildren Christopher Falkinburg, Sean Falkinburg and Ethan Locklin; numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by four infant children, his parents Wallace and Thelma Falkinburg and brother Ernest Falkinburg. A Mass of the Christian burial will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Paul s Catholic Church, 1208 E. Oak St., Arcadia, FL. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph s Cemetery, Warren, PA. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to Cathollic Charities of DeSoto County, 1210 E.
