Frank P. Maher, age 59, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his home in Arcadia. He was born March 3, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA then moving to DeSoto County 29 years ago where he has remained. Frank spent his working career as a heavy equipment operator working on various land development projects throughout the area. He was a member of Local Union #487 (Operating Engineers) & member of the NRA, as he enjoyed collecting various guns. Another favorite pastime was fishing with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Helen " Jean" Maher of Arcadia, son Dennis, daughter Nicole , step-son Richard, his mother Marie H. Maher, five grandchildren and his sidekick and faithful companion "Bud". A Celebration of Frank s Life will be announced by his family at a later date.
