Frances L.Blackmon Albritton, age 86, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 in Arcadia, FL. Frances was born September 25, 1926 in Moultrie, Ga., moving to Arcadia, Fl as a small child. She was retired from G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital and The Desoto Manor nursing Home as a certified nurse s assistant. Frances enjoyed quilting, sewing, and attending to the needs of her family. She had a love for animals of all kinds and was concerned for their well being. Frances was a member of the Venus Baptist Church, Venus, FL. Frances is survived by her children; three daughters; Doris Pauline Ingram, Arcadia, FL, Doris Willene Tyson, Arcadia, FL, Elizabeth (Joe) Hill, Venus, FL, four sons; Robert Buddy E. (Joyce) Blackmon, Arcadia, FL, Allen D. (Chris) Blackmon, Cookeville, TN, Larry Blackmon, and Jerry Blackmon both of Arcadia, FL, four sisters; Marietta Jackson, Moultrie, GA., Juanita Rory, GA, Louise Norman,St. Simon,Ga., and Sweetie Cabanna,Arcadia,FL,two brothers; Sam Norman, Moultrie, GA, and Floyd Norman, Arcadia, FL, fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husbands; R. C. Blackmon, T C. Albritton, her parents; Joel and Maggie Smith Norman, daughter; Esther Barfield, and a brother Lester Norman. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, Monday, August 12, 2013 from the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue Arcadia,FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ellis Cross officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
