Edward Franklin Price, age 67, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Arcadia, FL. Edward was born August 23, 1945 in Bartow, FL, living most of his live in Arcadia, FL. Edward worked for Ben Hill Griffin Citrus Company until he retired due to his health. He worked for Central Maloney Transformer Co. until they ceased operations here in DeSoto County. Edward also worked for a brief time for G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sporting events on television, and spending quality time with his family. Edward was of the penecostal faith. Survivors are his two sons; John Edward Price, Deridder, LA, Patrick (Jessica) Price, Arcadia, FL, his mother, Dorothy Twiss Price, Arcadia, FL, three sisters; Dorothy Ann (Quiness) Walker, Arcadia, FL, Peggy Jo Walker, Bradenton, FL, and Corine Leta (Phillip) Northup, Inverness, FL., four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Edward is preceded in death by his father Edward Franklin Frank Price. Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 10:00AM on July 20, 2013 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, FL, with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating.
