DeSoto- Don Mansfield, age 75, passed away Tuesday, January29, 2013 in Port Charlotte, Fl. Don was born March 11, 1937 in Arcadia, Fl. He retired from his own bakery business and worked in the food service industry afterwards. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Florida Gators football team on TV, and above all else, spending quality time with his family. He was of the Church of God faith. Survivors are his beloved wife, Alice Faye Thompson, Arcadia, FL, daughter; Donna Faye (Garry) Payne, Tallahassee, FL and son; Gary Allen (Kim Bowlin) Mansfield, Port charlotte, FL, four grandchildren, Molly, Tyler, and Jason Mansfield, and Nicole Payne, three great grandchildren, Wesley, Serena, and Donavan Mansfield and many neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Freeda P. Keen Mansfield and several siblings. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL .
