Linda Darlene Schafroth, age 61, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. Linda was born March 1, 1950 in Watseka, IL. She moved to Arcadia, FL from Watseka, IL in 2007. She was a cafeteria worker at DeSoto Middle School in Arcadia, FL. Linda was a member of the National Food Association, serving as the President of the local chapter. She loved her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, and sewing. Linda was a member of the Arcadia Nazarene Church. Survivors are her son, Paul (Jennifer) Schafroth, Andersen Air force Base, Guam, a daughter, Teresa Hines, Arcadia, FL, her mother, Vivian Loy Guard, Arcadia, FL, three brothers, Dean (Sue) Hill, Ft. Meyers, FL, Richard (Linda) Guard, Arcadia, FL, and Larry (Connie) Guard, Collinsville, IL, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her father Lowell Guard. Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Arcadia Nazarene Church with Pastor Mick Orr officiating.
