Clarence J. Bremer, age 83, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. He was born November 27, 1928 in Buffalo, NY and moved to Zolfo Springs, FL. 16 years ago from Lockport, NY. Clarence was of the Catholic faith. Clarence retired from General Motors. He also served our county in the United States Army and toured during the Korean War. Clarence was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne A. Poole Bremer of Zolfo Springs, FL.; three sons Allan J. (Robin) Bremer of Oklahoma, Daniel J (Kerry) Bremer of Lockport, NY and Brian J. (Susan) Bremer of N. Tonawanda, NY; two daughters Laurie J. (Ron) Cleary of Eustis, FL. and Barbe A. (Mike) Bubar of Wilson, NY; one sister Gloria (Waite) Wittlinger of Lockport, NY; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Clarence is preceded in death by his son Frank Bremer and parents Clarence F. and Maie Eagan Bremer. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 St. HW 72, Sarasota, FL. with Rev. Ellis Cross officiating and full military honors presented by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
