Clarence C. Clif Bishop, age 59, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2012 in Sarasota. He was born July 25, 1952 in Arcadia and a lifetime resident. He was of the Baptist faith. Clif was a family man, loved spending time with everyone especially the grandchildren. Clif spent his life ranching and working cattle. Clif graduated from DeSoto High School, Class of 1970. He enjoyed outdoor cooking and barbequing for his family and friends. He also had a great passion for his horses and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Beverly M. Bishop of Arcadia, one son Johnny D. Williams of Grovetown, GA; one daughter April D. White of Arcadia, FL.; his parents Clarence and Myra Short Bishop of Arcadia, FL.; one brother William H. (Donna) Bishop of Lake Placid, FL.; one sister Janet L. (Odeva) Muse of Lake Placid, FL; and seven grandchildren, which he referred to as Papa s Herd Alex Williams, Heather Guldin, Cody Williams, Allie Williams, Dakota Schuler, Abigail Williams and Wyatt Farley, numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will follow the visitation on Saturday at 3:00PM with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating. Burial will be at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
