Obituary

Christian K. Stoltzfus, 77, of Arcadia, FL and formerly of Fredericksburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully June 24, 2013, with his family by his side. Christian was born in Kinzers, (Lancaster County), PA. on July 24, 1935 to the late: Elias R. and Catherine King Stoltzfus. In 1956 Christian married Edna Kramer and together they raised nine children. He was a hardworking mason who instilled a strong work ethic in his children, along with valuable morals. Two of his strongest attributes were that of generosity and compassion. Christian was a loving family man. He enjoyed going fishing with the children, playing board games and sharing meals with his family. He was a member of the Arcadia Mennonite Church, as well as the Rock of Ages Mennonite Church in Apple Creek, Ohio. Christian will forever be deeply missed. Christian is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edna Stoltzfus, of Arcadia, FL, sons: Daniel (Verna) Stoltzfus, of Arcadia, Elias (Colleen) Stoltzfus, of Pipestone, MN, John (Linda) Stoltzfus, of Minerva, OH, Christian (Anita) Stoltzfus, Jr. of Leesburg, OH, daughters: Catherine (Benjamin) Coblentz, of Alliance, OH, Elizabeth (Lee) Koehn, of Dalton, OH, Mary Stoltzfus, of Arcadia, FL, Divina Weaver of Orville, OH and (Jake Weaver), of Dalton, OH, Mirriam (Peter) Smith, of Atwater, CA, brothers: Rueben (Lydia) Stoltzfus, of Manheim, PA, David K. (Suvilla) Stoltzfus, of Gap, PA, Tobias (Esther) Stoltzfus, of Middlefield, OH, sisters: Sarah Beiler, of Narvon, PA, Mary Fisher, of Paradise, PA, Barbara (Omar) Glick, of Gap, PA, 32 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Christian was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, one sister in law and three brothers in law. Visiting hours will be held in the chapel of Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia on June 27, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 7:30 pm with Deacon Franklin Koehn officiating. Calling hours at the Rock of Ages Mennonite Church in Apple Creek, Ohio, will be Monday, July 1, 2013 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 @ 10:30 a.m. Christian will be laid to rest in the Rock of Ages Cemetery.
