DeSoto- Charles W. Snedeker, 77, of Arcadia, Florida passed away February 05, 2013. Charles was born December 31, 1935 in Pennsylvania. He moved to Arcadia in 1987 from Pahokee, Florida. He was a working cowboy, spending most of his working years employed by Babcock Ranch. Charles loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting deer, pigs, rabbit and quail. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nocatee. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Charles is survived by his wife of 39 years, Josephine Snedeker, of Arcadia, Florida, sons; Charles Snedeker, Jr., of Arkansas, Bruce Snedeker, of Orlando, Florida, stepsons; Edward, Christopher and Michael Kalna, of Tennessee, Keith Kalna, of West Palm Beach, Florida, daughers; Debra Snedeker, of Orlando, Florida, Beverly Gallagher, of New York, brother, Kenneth Snedeker, of Alabama, 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A gravedside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. February 11, 2013 at Joshua Creek Cemetery with Rev. Eric Romick officiating.
