Betty Caroline Lee, age 78, passed away January 6, 2012 in Port Charlotte, FL. Betty was born August 16, 1933 in Meigs County, Ohio. She moved to Arcadia, FL in 1971 from Parkersburg, WV. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Arcadia, FL. She loved her church and was very active in the programs of the church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors are one son, Floyd W. (Susan) Lee, Arcadia, FL, four daughters, Victoria Kirby, Laura (Milburn) Wilburn, Debra (Wesley) Yates, all of Arcadia,, FL, and Danielle (Ossie) Karenlampi, Punta Gorda, FL, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two cousins, Jean Fluharty and Linda Warren, both of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd W. Lee, SR, and her mother, Carrie Lillian Pickens. Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, January 11, 2012 at the Ponger-Kays-Grady chapel with President Andrew Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Joshua Creek cemetery.
