Carl L. Sullivan, age 60 passed away Saturday, March 03, 2012 in Arcadia after a valiant fight with a prolonged illness. He was born July 17, 1951 in Arcadia, FL and a lifetime resident. He was of the Christian faith. Carl was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered by many as a true Cowboy as he made ranch and cattle his life s work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing jokes on his boys and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Catherine Cathy L. Sullivan of Arcadia, FL., two sons; Rowdy J. (Erika) Sullivan and Dustin L. Sullivan both of Arcadia, FL.; one brother Kevin H. (Jody) Sullivan of Arcadia, Fl., his mother Carolyn I Pattishall Sullivan of Arcadia, FL.; two nephews Dan (Melissa) Sullivan of Fort Hood, TX and Matt (Vanessa) Sullivan of Punta Gorda, FL. and one niece Jamie Allen of Avon Park, FL. Carl was preceded in death by his father Donald L. Sullivan and sister Donna Lea Sullivan. A visitation and gathering of family and friends will be Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Services and celebration of Carl s life will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church, 1006 N. Brevard Ave., Arcadia. with Rev. Ellis Cross and Duck Smith officiating.
