Barbara E. Fuller, age 72, passed away April 22, 2012 in Limestone, TN. She was born March 19, 1940 in Princeton, MO. She moved to Arcadia in 1977, moving here from Okeechobee, FL. Barbara retired from the Desoto County school system in 2008, after more than 30 years of teaching. She had spent 30 years educating the mentally challenged in Arcadia. She was a co-coordinator in the Special Olympic here in DeSoto County. Barbara graduated from Dallas City High School, Dallas City, IL Class of 1958. She was awarded her Bachelors Degree in Education from Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL Class of 1962. Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, accordion, and the clarinet. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Day Baptist Church. Barbara is survived by her two sons, Dr. Timothy (Tricia) Fuller, Greeneville, TN and Dr. Ted (Sherry) Fuller, Collierville, TN., and four grandchildren. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Thursday, April 26, 2012 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be at 4:00PM, Friday, April 27, 2012 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ray Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
