Arthur Norman Beecher, age 76 passed away Saturday January 10, 2015 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born in Delaware on February 6, 1938 to the late Arthur Penn and Gracie Tyndall Beecher. Arthur was of the Baptist faith and retired from the automobile industry as a salesman. He is survived by his loving companion of twenty years, Beatrice D. Regg of Arcadia, FL.; five daughters Sheri (Andy) Shuman of North Port, FL., Dorothy Smith of Arcadia, FL., Susan Kleis of Port Charlotte, FL., Joann Kleis and Diane Massy both of Arcadia, FL.; five sons Arthur Beecher of Arcadia, FL, Ron Beecher of Bradenton, FL., George (Becky) Kleis, Jr., James Jimmy Kleis and Arthur Kleis all of Arcadia, FL.; twenty-six grandchildren, Ronnie, Jessica, Ricky, Amanda, Becky Kassie, Erik, Lolla and Gavin to name a few and three great grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. A visitation of family and friends will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the chapel at 11:00am with Rev. Ken Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia.
