Barbara Ann Smith, age 70, of Arcadia, FL, passed away September 18, 2012 in Franklin, Ga. Barbara was born March 8, 1942 in Carroll Co., GA. She moved to Arcadia, FL in 1983 from Carrollton, GA.. She enjoyed reading her Bible, portrait painting, cooking, sewing, traveling, and most of all, spending quality time with her family. Barbara was of the Church of God faith. Survivors are her beloved husband of 29 years, Paul Pete Smith, Jr., Arcadia, FL, one daughter, Belinda Anne (Bobby) Harper, Franklin, GA, six sons; William Lewis (Wanda) Johnson, Franklin, GA, Robbie Joe (Kelli) Johnson, Douglasville, GA, James Warren (Donna) Johnson, Waco, GA, Leon (Jackie) Smith, Arcadia, FL, Paul Buster Smith III, North Florida, William Brandon Smith, Arcadia, FL, sister-in-law; Janet O Drain, and niece, Eva Crawford both of Arcadia, FL, sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Gowins Davis, one daughter, Elizabeth Gay Johnson and a sister, Peggy Elizabeth Farr. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, September 21, 2012 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL. Graveside Funeral Services and burial will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Joshua Creek Cemetery with Minister Eddie Coban officiating.
