Charles Charlie A. Lindberg age 74 of Arcadia passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 in Sarasota. He was born August 6, 1938 in Boston, MA. and moved to Arcadia over forty years ago from Worcester, MA. Charlie worked for the State of Florida for twenty three years, at G. Pierce Woods Memorial Hospital, Arcadia Road Prison, and for eighteen of those years at DeSoto Correctional Institute. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and loved to read, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Darlene Tenney Lindberg; two sons Chris (Linda) Lindberg of Arcadia, Jeffrey Lindberg of Arcadia; two daughters Heather (R.J) Decoteau of Arcadia, Samantha (Rod Lozada) Lindberg of Ocala; one brother Erek (Helen) Lindberg of Maine; two sisters Ginger (Joe) Dellasandro, Barbara Shadrick all of North Carolina; and six grandchildren Kaylee, Charlie, Colby, Claire, Cailyn, Allie, and two more grandchildren due later this year. Visitation will be 10-11am Friday, January 18, 2013 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home located at 50 N Hillsborough Ave in Arcadia. Services will follow the visitation at 11:00am in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Luke Wilson and Rev. Steve Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery.
