Cherie A. Erickson, age 65, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. Cherie was born February 13, 1947 in Midland, MI, moving to Arcadia in 2002 from Traverse City, MI. Cherie was a Licensed Practical Nurse in the nursing industry until her health began to fail her, forcing her into early retirement. She enjoyed singing, collecting dolls, key chains, and watches. Cherie and her husband Eric , an Elvis Presley Tribute Artist, were members of the Elvis Presley Continental Fan Club and the Tampa Bay Elvis Presley Fan Club. She would do vocal backup for Eric as he did his tributes to Elvis at Elvis Presley performances throughout the country. Cherie is survived by husband of 12 years, Eric Erickson, Arcadia, FL, two sons, John (Jay) McCombs, Goose Creek, SC, Marc McCombs, Traverse City, MI, a daughter Michele (Jeff) Dahm, Mt. Horeb, WI, a brother, Mike Argyle, Bellaire, MI, grandchildren, Lauren, Jonas, Marc Daniel, Issac, Ian, Isobel, Travis, Evan, Conner, DeClan, and Erin. Cherie is preceded in death by her parents, Pete L. and Mary J, Gardner and a beloved step father Robert Argyle. A Celebration of Life for Cherie will be conducted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00AM, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Arcadia, FL, with Pastor Jim Wade officiating.
