Denvis Allen "Dink" Griffis, age 93 went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, October 15, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 13, 1928, in Screven, GA to the late Oscar R. and Linnie L. Carter Griffis. Dink left Georgia in his teens, moving to Sebring, FL. In 1979 he made Zolfo Springs his lifelong home. He attended the Church of God.

Dink will be remembered as a fair and honest businessman. Starting a longtime successful business of Griffis Auto parts, with money he saved and a moderate education.  His key to success was in hard work and perseverance. He loved the land, growing oranges and raising cattle was his form of enjoyment.

He will forever be in the hearts of his family, he was a loving husband, father, and Papa. Dink was strong in his faith, a Godly mentor to many young people throughout his life.

He is survived by his true love of 72 glorious years, Sandra May Griffis of Zolfo Springs, FL., two grandchildren, Kenneth "Louie"( Robbie Lynn)Pella and Kimberly (Drake) Pella, five great-grandchildren, siblings Harrel and wife Joyce, Joy and Jantile and many nieces, nephews, and bonus grandchildren. Dink was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Arnola Ann Pella, and siblings Quinton, Earl, Delmus, and Myra.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 205 N. 9 ^th Ave., Wauchula

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Wauchula with Rev. Cliff Gobbles of Church of God in Labelle.
