Debra Kay Jones, age 62, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born March 8, 1948 in Canton, OH as daughter of Richard and Marilyn Werstler Eaver. Debra had been a resident of Arcadia for the past twenty three years moving from Sarasota, FL. Debra was of the Methodist faith and attended Trinity United Methodist Church of Arcadia. Debra was a wonderful, loving, caring wife, mother and sister and will be missed by her family. She devoted her life to children and teaching, her last ten years she was a Child Find Specialist for the Desoto County School System. Debra enjoyed traveling, she and her husband, Philip took trips to Europe each summer. She loved reading, puzzles and playing card games. She is survived by her loving husband Philip T. Jones of Arcadia, FL.; one son Eric D. (Debbie) Jones of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter Nicole Jones of Arcadia, FL.; her mother Marilyn W. Eaver of Canton, OH; five sisters Pam (Mike) Shelley of Uniontown, OH, Paula (Mike) Keeping of Sarasota, FL, Beth (Tim) Graham of Hartville, OH, Patty (Rick) Hysell of Bradenton, FL and Jennifer (Joe) Bauer of Akron, OH; two step grandchildren Brandon and William Davis, numerous nieces and nephews. Debra was preceded in death by her father. A visitation of family and friends will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 2:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating.
