David P. Smitley (Dave) Skeeter passed away Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at the age of 74 in Orlando Regional Medical Center after a Continuous battle against heart disease. David was born April 22nd,1951 to Herman and Ruth Smitley in Dover Ohio.

He graduated from Dover High School in 1969. He joined the Air Force after graduation and served until he was honorably discharged for a heart condition. Dave was Passionate about God and his family and loved camping and fishing. He and his family spent a lot of their time together boating and Fishing at Atwood Lake before moving to Florida.

He is Survived by his five children, Melissa (Dan) Sommers, Danielle (Partick) Pack, Jessica Patterson (France George Pucci), David (Donicka) Smitley and Matthew Smitley (Fiancé Rebecca Carpenter). And all his eleven grandchildren, Chandra (Alex) Ferguson, Damien (Lily) Jones, Christian Chupp, Jackson Chupp, Madison Smitley, Amaya Smitley, Dawson Patterson, Braxton Chupp, Addison Smitley, Tyler Sommers and Liam Smitley. He also has two great-grandchildren, Addex Chupp and Wyatt Ferguson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ruth Smitley.
