David B. Murphy, Jr., age 59, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2022 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was
born on May 16, 1962 in Wilmington, Delaware son of David B. Murphy, Sr., deceased and Carolyn
Wilson Munce. Dave moved to Southwest Florida 45 years ago and has been the pillar of our little
Bermont community for 31 years.

David was a heavy equipment mechanic. He loved his work and all the friends he made though it
over the years. He worked very hard to provide for his family. When he did get a little time off, he
enjoyed a cold one while fishing and hunting with his son and grandson and riding his side by side
with his buddies and family.

He always enjoyed taking the twins for a ride on the tractor or lawnmower. Dave loved to tell
stories, play poker and always made everyone laugh. The most important thing to him was spending
time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Frankie Nelson Murphy of Punta Gorda, FL., son
Austin (Christy Brenner) Murphy of Punta Gorda, FL., daughter January Elrod of Punta Gorda,
FL., three grandchildren Cash Elrod, Lyla Murphy and Gracelyn Murphy all of Punta Gorda and
numerous family and friends who love him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 18th from 1:30pm-8pm at Cypress M Ranch Punta Gorda
