David Earl "Dave" Hall
David Earl Hall, 86, of Arcadia, FL, passed away on November 29, 2023. He was born on July 26, 1937, in Cumberland, KY, to the late Corbin and Nora Hall.
Dave had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer after over 20 years of dedicated service. He served as a helicopter pilot in the Viet Nam war, where he displayed exceptional bravery and was awarded several medals, including the "Distinguished Flying Cross" with Valor for Heroism.
After his military service, Dave embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, owning and managing various businesses, including a trucking business and a quail farm. He was a previous member of several organizations, including AMVETS, American Legion, Shriners, Eagles, Moose, and Elks. Dave was an avid fisherman and hunter, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife, Sonja, and their children.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Sonja L. Hall, his devoted children, David E. Hall Jr., Pamela A. Miller, and Jeffrey A. Hall, as well as his 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Dave Earl Hall will forever be remembered for his bravery, dedication, and love for his family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
In memory of Dave, a funeral service will be held to celebrate his remarkable life. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1:00-2:00pm., at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, Services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Ellis Cross officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Joshua Creek, Tuesday December 5, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion of Arcadia, or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
