David Leon Calhoun, age 70 passed away peacefully on May 31, 2023 with his loving daughters at his side. He was born on July 2, 1952 in Plant City, FL. to the late Vernon D. and Bernice Williams Calhoun.

David as a young man was called to duty by the United States Army, serving our country proudly. After his tour he made a lifelong career with IMC  New Wales facility. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with family and friends outdoors. He was a man's man and the gentlest heart, which he expressed with the love for his daughters like no other.

He is survived by his daughters Guyla (Adam) Anderson of Plant City, FL. and Megan (Clinton) Feaster of Ocala, FL. Grandchildren Reagan Anderson and Riley Anderson, five loving siblings and their spouses along with many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Calhoun.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023 (Father's Day) at the Big Red Barn Events, 4816 Deshong Drive, Plant City, FL.

Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:30 am at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102 Ave., Bushnell, FL. where he will be receiving military honors from the U. S. Army honor guard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation in David's name be given to ALS. Org, 3244 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL. 33619 or your local Veterans hospital.
