David L. Brown, age 77 of Arcadia, passed away on March 25, 2011 at Desoto Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brown was born on November 26, 1933 in Plant City, Florida to Nathanial J. Brown and Mary F. Stalnaker. He came to Arcadia in 1956. He was Protestant by Faith and he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a butcher at Woods Supermarket, The Beef Shop and Midway Market. He had also drove a truck for Griffin Concrete, J.J. Hauling and BV Oil before retiring. He is preceded his first wife in 2006 Charlotte J. Brown and by three brothers; Tom Brown, James Brown and Billy Brown. He is survived by his wife Marolyn, Three daughters Kathryn J. Hill (Terry) of Arcadia, Teresa V. Wiley (C.J.) of Arcadia and Mary Brown Perry (Rev. Randy) of Dawsonville, GA; a son Ronnie H. Brown (Debra) of Arcadia; a sister Jeanette Butts of Arcadia; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia with Pastor Steve Griffin and Rev. Randy Perry officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Level Campground Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home
