David Roy Barrett II of Wauchula, Florida passed away on January 18, 2023 at the age of 57. Roy was born in Lakeland Florida, and lived in Lakeland and Wauchula. He graduated from Hardee High School in 1983.  He was a Master Mechanic in his working life in both Lakeland and Wauchula.  He was good at repairing almost anything including computers, sound systems, and cars.

H e was a very loving dad, brother, son and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his four children, family, and friends.  He enjoyed working on race cars, camping, fishing, and listening to music.

He is survived by his mother Iris Green Gilliard and his four children Stacey Griner, Josh Barrett, Alix Barrett, and Jesse Barrett. He had one sister Anita Barrett, one brother Malone Steverson, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
