Obituary

David Araujo, age 65, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Wauchula, Florida. David was born in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was the eldest son of Maria Araujo Alfaro and Benjamin Araujo.

He moved to Florida in his early adulthood where he worked his way up to be a crew leader in the orange harvesting industry. He later on opened his own harvesting company. In addition, he also bought real estate properties. On March 9, 2001, he married Marina Araujo. He raised Hector Giordano and Victor Salazar like his own. They welcomed three beautiful daughters Mariadela Araujo, Marylu Araujo, and Roxana E. Araujo.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marina Araujo; parents Maria Araujo Alfaro and Benjamin Araujo; brother Margarito Araujo; sons; Hector A. Giordano, Victor Salazar; daughters Mariadela Araujo, Marylu Araujo, and Roxana E. Araujo; grandsons Hector A. Giordano Jr, Victor Salazar Jr, Ian M. Giordano, Alejandro G. Salazar; granddaughter Velicity A. Salazar.

David passed away from a car accident on January 28,2024. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, son, and grandfather who strongly believed in God. He was a spiritual man who involved himself preaching God's word. He enjoyed traveling, and renovating his real estate properties. He will be remembered for his great generosity and unconditional love. David leaves behind so many beautiful memories with his family and friends.


A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on February 10 at Ponger-Kay-Grady Funeral Homes and will be laid to rest at the Bowling Green cemetery.
