Clarence S. Junior Rorie, age 62, passed away Monday, June 07, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 20, 1948 in Cooper, TX and moved to Desoto Co. forty years ago from Wimauma, FL. He was of the Baptist faith. Junior worked for forty years as a maintenance supervisor for Orange Co LP, he served as a director for the Arcadia Rodeo Assn., Charter member of the Moose Lodge # 1327 of Arcadia, past member of the Loyal Order of Elks #1524 and a member of the AmVet. Junior gave service to our Country in the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife Martha J. Rorie of Arcadia, Fl.; one son Dustin S. Rorie of Arcadia, Fl.; two daughters Jennifer L. (Mike) Skidmore of Arcadia, Fl and Crystal L. (Nick) Brandt of Jupiter, FL.; three brothers Ellis E. Hudson of Arcadia, Roger D. (Juanita) Rorie and Homer C. (Patsy) Hudson of MI; two sister Charlene (George) Carter of Riverview, Fl. and Shirley (Theron) Royal of Arcadia, Fl; three grandchildren Makala Skidmore, Michael Skidmore and Connor Brandt numerous nieces and nephews. Junior was preceded in death by his parents C.S. and Manuel L. Rogers Rorie and a brother Michael A. Rorie. Memorial Services and a Celebration of Junior s life will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 6:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL. with Dr. Ted Land officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Junior s name at Seacoast National Bank, 1601 E.
