Obituary

Desoto- Clarence Bo Bishop, age 80, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Sebring, FL. He was born October 10, 1932 in Arcadia where he remained until moving to Lake Placid, where he lived for the past 31 years. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Arcadia and attended Placid Lakes Baptist. Bo was a wonderful husband, married to Myra for 62 years, a loving father, grandfather and family man, he will be greatly missed. Bo was a true cowboy. He loved his lifetime of ranch work. The first thing he would do in the morning, before heading out, was put on his watch, cowboy hat, boots and fill his shirt pocket with 5 cigars. His love for the outdoors included fishing, hunting, air boating and sitting around a campfire. He is survived by his loving wife, Myra A. Short Bishop of Lake Placid, FL., son William Bill (Donna) Bishop of Lake Placid, FL., daughter Janet (Odeva) Muse of Lake Placid, FL, sister Lola Mae Watkins of Arcadia, FL., four grandchildren April, Amanda, Stephanie and Odeva and ten great-grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by son Clarence C. Bishop in July 2012, parents; Pleasant Frank and Minnie Lee Dixon Bishop, brothers; Clyde Bishop, Clayton Bishop, Cecil Bishop,Robert Bishop, Jimmy Bishop, sister, Essie Willis and great grandchild Derrick McCracken. A visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia Funeral services will follow the visitation on Friday at 3:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Arcadia.
