Chris Robert Nickerson, 60, passed away at his home in Zolfo Springs on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Chris, fondly known as "Big Daddy," was a born in Avon Park, Florida, and resided in Hardee County his entire life. He was lifelong dairy farmer. Beyond the farm, he found joy in fishing, hunting, hearts games, and cherished moments with family and friends, always bringing laughter to the room.

Chris is survived by his daughter Brittany Thurlow and her husband Jeremy, son Holden Nickerson and his wife Courtney, girlfriend Tracie Gillespie, brother Joe Nickerson and his wife Marlene, sister-in-law Connie Nickerson, and four grandchildren: Hixon Thurlow, Piper Nickerson, Stella Thurlow, and Bennett Nickerson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman & Phyllis Nickerson, and brother Rodney Nickerson.

Funeral services will take place on January 27th, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Wauchula, followed by a celebration of life at the Nickerson Camphouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hardee County FFA Alumni, addressed to 308 Bell Street, Wauchula, FL 33873.
