Cheri DeLaney Coleman, 71, of Arcadia, Florida, departed this earth for her heavenly home on January 26, 2026. Born on July 24, 1954, in Arcadia, Florida, she was the youngest daughter of Edward and Hilda DeLaney.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, discerning businesswoman, and loyal friend. Above all, she loved her family and took great pride in each of them. Cheri enjoyed camping and the outdoors, where many cherished memories were made with family and friends. She also loved life and treasured every opportunity to socialize with those she held dear.

Cheri is survived by her children and stepchildren: Kaycee (Curt) Mays of Arcadia, FL; Staci (Donald) DeLuca of Arcadia, FL; Keri (Dave) Wharton of Punta Gorda, FL; Stasie Gardner of Daphne, AL; and Bradley Coleman of Fort Ogden, FL; as well as her sister, Jean Fullerton and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Douglas. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: McKenzie Wooten, Jesse Wharton, April Wharton, Steven Mays, Kassidy DeLuca, George Mays, Gwendolyn "Faith" Brown, Joel Mays, Joeb Mays, Kamren DeLuca, Braden DeLuca, Jayse DeLuca, and Garett Wharton; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Hampton Coleman; her oldest sister, JoAnn Douglas; and a grandson, Bryston Gardner.

A graveside service will be conducted on January 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia, with the Reverend Charles C. Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Tidewell Hospice.
