Charline Claire (Shatney) Dewhurst, 49 of Arcadia, Florida was released from hr suffering on Sunday, June 1, 2008. She was born April 10, 1959 in Concord, Vermont to Kenneth and Sharron Shatney. Her childhood years were spent in New Britain, Connecticut. She graduated from New Britain High School in 1977. Charline married Michael Scott Dewhurst on February 19, 1983 in Shepherd, Texas. She moved to Arcadia, Florida in 1989 and became known for her hard work and generous spirit. Licensed in food services, she worked for Burger King for 13 years where she was manager. Charline loved camping, Bingo, and cooking. Nothing made her happier than when she was feeding people. She was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Sharron Shatney of Arcadia, her daughter Rachel Dewhurst of Agawam, Massachusetts, her daughters, Roxann Dewhurst, and Meghan Dale of Arcadia, Florida, her grandson, Ethan Mink of Arcadia. Brothers, Kenneth (Ronda) Shatney, Jr., and Jason Shatney of Arcadia. Sister Katrina (Carl) Basile of Agawam, Massachusetts, Grandmother, Joyce Forest of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and many other precious relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Scott Dewhurst, her son, Michael Justin Dewhurst, he beloved nephew, Travis Basile, and her dear friend, Daisy Thornebury. Visitation will be 6-8PM, Friday June 6, 2008 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N. Hillsborough Ave in Arcadia, Florida. Services will be 5PM Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel.
