Charlie Joe Johnston, age 75, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Arcadia, Fl. Charlie Joe was born March 15, 1935 in Arcadia, Fl to Charles E. and Aretta Coleman Johnston. Charlie Joe was retired as a Correctional Officer for the FL Department of Corrections. He enjoyed fishing and football. Charlie Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Charlie Joe is survived by his son; Robert Bobby Johnston, Zolfo Springs, FL and a daughter; Carol (John) Shepherd, Arcadia, FL, four grandchildren; Justin Wooten, and Julie Ann Shepherd, Arcadia, FL and Robert Keith Johnston and Jennifer Leann Norman both of Wauchula, FL, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia, FL at 2:00PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 with Reverend Bill Wooten officiating.
