Charlie Keith Wood, 66, was born on December 6,1956 in Arcadia, Florida. He passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023 – Valentine's Day. On Valentines Day people pick flowers, but God picked a rose. He was surrounded by family and friends at Tidewell Hospice when he went to his heavenly home. He attended Hardee High School and South Florida College. He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and He was an avid Musician. He played guitar and was the lead singer. When he was sixteen, he and his friends formed Charlie Wood and the Midnight Sons band. The band played at many Arcadia events. The fair, rodeo, parades and local establishments and traveled to different locations in Florida. He traveled with Tommy Scott and the Medicine show for about a year all over the United States. He loved country music and old-time rock and roll. He met many country artists; he would always get a picture and autograph. He had a deep love for animals, always taking in and feeding strays. He will be missed by his fur babies Lady Bug and Buddy.

He is survived by his son Charles (Cristine) Wood of New Port Richey, grandson Brendan Wood of Bowling Green, Florida. Brother Larry (Shirley) Wood of Lithia, Florida. Sister Elaine (Barry) Kidd of Rochelle, Georgia and sister Linda (Tim) Boone of Arcadia, Florida. 3 nieces Marlene Trusing, Kerry Morgan, Dara Metcalfe. 1 nephew Larry A. Wood. Numerous cousins and friends. His special band friends he loved like brothers. Ricky McDonald, Wayne Cook, James Robertson, Paul Seusy, and Duke Bryan.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Henry Preston and Audrey Wood. One nephew Jesse Boone.

Visitation for family and friends on Sunday, February 19,2023 from 2:00-4:00pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Arcadia.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 11,2023 at 11:00, at Limestone Baptist Church 4868 Keystone Ave Ona, Florida 33865.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Limestone Baptist Church or Tidewell Hospice.
