Charles I. Chuck Simpson, Jr. age 40, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Punta Gorda, Fl. Chuck was born November 13, 1969 in Peoria, IL and moved to Southwest Florida over 37 years ago. Chuck had worked as a carpenter in the construction industry until his health began to fail. He loved working with hydroponics, and raising tropical fish. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He loved life and sharing his life with his family. Survivors are his mother; Grace H. Taylor Simpson, Port Charlotte, Fl., sisters; Elita Bozeman, Jennifer (Kevin) Brown, Tina Smallwood, all of Arcadia, Fl., Ellen (Frank) Sciallo, Newark, DE., paternal grandmother; Bernice Strong of Celina, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles Simpson, brother in law Andy Smallwood, brother in law Teace Carlson, nephew Nathan Simpson, niece Danielle Bozeman, niece Courtney Smallwood, and great nephew Baby Nate . Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Fl. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel with Reverend Thomas Knickerbocker officiating. Burial will follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery.
