Charles M. Bud Longmire, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born May 4, 1927 in Andersonville, TN and moved to DeSoto County 52 years ago from Fort Lauderdale; FL. Charles was of the Methodist faith. Charles will be remembered by his family as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed very much. Charles was a Master plumber. He established and operated his own business, Arcadia Plumbing, for many years. When he wasn t working, Charles loved spending his time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and riding motorcycles. Charles is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Wilson Longmire of Arcadia, FL.; one daughter Angela (Curtis) Dudney of Texas; one son David (Rene) Barnard of Arcadia, FL; two brothers Hubert Longmire and Hobert Longmire both of Andersonville, TN; two sisters, Nancy Sword, and Rebecca Williams both of Andersonville, TN; four grandchildren Jason Barnard, Beth Barnard, Cason Dudney and Cade Dudney, one great-grandson Dylan Barnard; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles L. and Rose Lamar Longmire, and four sisters, Ruth Longmire,Bobbi Collier, Mary Osier and Elizabeth Lambdin; and one brother David Longmire Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, November 22, 2011at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
