Charles W. Browder age 86 passed away in Sebring on September 9th, 2011. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina and moved to the area in 1950. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula and a former Deacon and enjoyed golfing and hunting. Charles Honorably served Our Country during World War II in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of Sergeant. While serving in the European Theater (Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe; Ardannes) he received a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 Bronze Stars, and the World War II Victory Medal. Charles is survived by one son Charles Chuck (Debbie) Browder Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter Miriam (Bryan ) Hopper of Sebring; one brother Jack Browder of Washington State; one sister Esther Thomas of McKinney, Fl. He had four grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Pearl Browder. Visitation will be held Friday, September 16 from 10:30-11:30 am with Services following 11:30 am at the First Baptist Church of Wauchula with Pastor Harold Howze of Gospel Tabernacle officiating.
