In loving memory of Catarina V. Cuevas, aged 88, passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 15, 2024, in Arcadia, FL.

Born on March 21, 1935, to Guadalupe Villanueva and Celestina Herrera in Alamo, Texas. Catarina was raised in Texas and later moved to Florida where she then settled in Arcadia with her husband Arnulfo and four children. Catarina had a green thumb that brought beauty to this world through her gardening, with various plants and flowers that she enjoyed spending her time caring for. Not only was she enthused by gardening, but her passion for cooking was another way of expressing her love. More importantly, she appreciated the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with love, and laughter with the company of her family and friends, if there was anything she was most proud of, it was her family. She was a devout member of St. Paul's Catholic church for many years, her faith was abundant and an important part of her life.

Affectionately known as "Wella" to her grandchildren, she treasured and embraced every moment she had with them. She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and amazing Mexican dishes.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Catarina will be missed immensely.

She is survived by her Children: Guadalupe (Berta Perez) Cuevas, Maria (Manuel) Perez, Rosalinda Cuevas, Maricela (Antonio) Quintero; Grandchildren: Jessica (Danny) Salas, Jennifer (Marcos) Silva, Noel (Ana) Cuevas, Zoraida (Abel)Camacho, Ashley J. Cruz, Enafael Cruz III, Brittany Perez, Antonio Jr (Danielle) Quintero, Brandy K. Perez, Manuel Perez Jr, Yessenia R. Cruz, Fernando D. Perez, and many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Arnulfo T. Cuevas, grandsons Guadalupe "Billy" Cuevas Jr., and Abel Quintero. Parents: Guadalupe Villanueva and Celestina Herrera; Sister Ramona Renteria, Brothers: Guadalupe Villanueva Jr, Amadeo Villanueva, Jose Villanueva, Julio Villanueva, Juan Villanueva, and half-brother Juan Gonzalez.

A visitation and rosary of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 19, 2023, from 9:00am until 10:45am at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia.

Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Arcadia. Burial will conclude at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
