Obituary

Brenda Paulette Story, 72, died February 22, 2025, at her home in Wauchula, Florida, after a long illness. Paulette was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on September 27,1952.

As a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula, Paulette volunteered with the Awana program and was a member of the Hannah Sunday School class. In addition, she was a founding member of the Florida State National Barrel Horse Association, serving as secretary for over thirty years. She enjoyed riding and training horses, as well as giving riding lessons to young children.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Carol Gootee and Paul C. Brennan. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Adell story of Wauchula, Florida; daughter, Jamie Story Adams (Trae) of Wauchula, Florida; grandson Benjamin Rance of Greeley, Colorado, and Preston Charles Adams of Wauchula, Florida; sister Barbara Ann Scheeler of Demorest, Georgia, and Beverly Grace Dunn of Pinellas Park, Florida.

There will be no service for Paulette, but donations in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Wauchula.
