Boycia Veronica Cail, age 80, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Port Charlotte, FL. Boycia was born in Arcadia, FL June 8, 1931 to Harold and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Thomas. She retired as a cashier from G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed softball and basketball. She played on an adult softball team until she was in her mid forties. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, yard work, fishing, and yard sales. Boycia was a graduate of the DeSoto County High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of both the softball and basketball team while in high school. Survivors are her beloved husband, Herman Cail, Arcadia, FL, a son Michael H. (JoAnn) Cail, Nocatee, FL, four daughters; BeeVee (Jim) Ragan, Arcadia, FL, Kathy (Mark) Griffin, Nocatee, FL, Teresa Inman, St. Augustine, FL., and Sherry Rottger, Arcadia, FL. Boycia also leaves a brother, Gerard (Donna Sue) Thomas, Ft. Ogden, FL, a sister-in-law, Barbara Thomas, Ft. Ogden, 12 grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lizzie Thomas, and a brother, Harold B. Thomas. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM at the chapel. Burial will follow at Ft.
