Bobby Joe Redding, age 82, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2024, in Zolfo Springs, Florida. He was born in Wauchula, Florida on May 4, 1942, to the late Robert and Fannie Redding Jr.

He was a lifelong resident of Hardee County where he was an all-around cowboy. Bobby worked for many ranches such as Carltons and others around Central Florida doing what he loved to do best.

He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Wauchula. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being a cowboy, watching old westerns movies and most of all spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a true friend.

He is survived by his wife Agness Irene (Keene) Redding, Son Gregory Wayne (Sonja) Redding of Zolfo Springs, Florida, sister Jeanette Gibson, and four grandchildren Stephanie (Mickey) Wambles of Soperton, Georgia, Brandy (CJ) Kelley of Bowling Green, Florida, Jeremy Wells of Wauchula, Florida and Taylor McIntyre of Zolfo Springs, Florida and twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fannie Redding, daughter Patty Jo (Ford) Redding and son James Redding, Brothers Elmo, Frog, Buck and sister Gail Deubery.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:00am at Union Baptist Church at 5076 Lily Church Road in Lily, Florida.
